Libkey: LibKey Nomad

LibKey Nomad will easily connect you to articles found online, even if we don't own it!

If the library subscribes to it, it it is available somewhere with no paywall you will be directed to it immediately.  If not, you will be directed to a form that sends the request right to Library & Information Services, who will send that article right to your email.

Zonal IT departments are working on installing Libkey Nomad on all Edge browsers on the NLHS network.  If you do not have automatic access or use a different browser see below for installation instructions.

LibKey Nomad Browser Extension Installation Instructions

This extension is available for the following browsers:

  • Edge (installed on NLHS network)
  • Chrome
  • Firefox
  1. Go to: Download LibKey Nomad
  2. Click on the browser of your choice and follow the prompts for adding the extension
  3. Select "NLHS Library" as your institution

Accessing articles using LibKey Nomad

If you see either of these icons at the bottom left corner while reading an article abstract - access is just a few steps away!

Somewhere on the page with the article information, you will see one of the following icons:

Not owned by library - automatically links to request form

Owned by library OR Open Access - automatically links to article

Owned by library OR Open Access - automatically links to PDF
Journal owned by library - automatically links to Browzine journal information
